Program Description
The Employment Support Office (E.G.Y.A.) of the Social Cooperative Enterprise (KoiSPE) “FAROS” in Patras began its operations in April 2024. It is one of the five (5) E.G.Y.A.s operating nationwide (KoiSPE EV ZIN, KoiSPE ATHENS ELPIS, KoiSPE DIADROMES in Attica, and KoiSPE IRIS in Thessaloniki), in collaboration with the Hellenic Federation of Social Cooperative Enterprises (POKOISPE), which supervises, connects, organizes, and networks the E.G.Y.A. The pilot program is funded by the Ministry of Health and financed through the National Development Program.
The goal of the E.G.Y.A. is to search for and support individuals with severe psychosocial problems, aiming at finding and placing them in a job position and maintaining that position for them in the open labor market.
The office operates within the framework of Sub-project 5, titled “Creation and two-year pilot operation of a Specialized Employment Support Office (E.G.Y.A.) for individuals with severe psychosocial problems in the KoiSPE ACHAIA ‘FAROS'”, of the project titled “Creation of a Network for Supported Employment for Individuals with Severe Psychosocial Problems and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), through the operation of Specialized Employment Support Offices by POKOISPE and KoiSPE.”
